A psychological thriller podcast, narrative driven as discovered through journal entries written by Elias Kostakis – a rising star who takes on the role of Stanley, a violent and dangerous criminal in Brisbane’s upcoming blockbuster film. As Elias immerses himself in the intense world of Method Acting, unsettling and chilling details begin to surface which affect the lives of those around him.

Peets plays the role of Victoria Langford, an accomplished director willing to push her actors to the limit to achieve film greatness.

Victoria Langford

Voice acted by Danika Peets. The podcasts antagonist Victoria was inspired by well-known timeless villains such as The Lion King’s Scar (1994), and Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent (1959; 2014). An ongoing practice which underlies her creative process when building characters for performance, Peets had completed a Character Profile for Victoria supported by her psychological background, to help breathe life and three-dimensionality into the antagonist by offering an enigmatic, charming yet manipulative allure to Victoria’s voice.

Jezebel

Also voice-acted by Danika Peets. Inspired by the female characters in UK crime drama Peaky Blinders (2013), Peets utilises a standard Irish accent to support Jezebel’s immigrant background and help seperate her voice from Victoria Langford. Another character profile had been created to help inform Peets’ choices for Jezebel. Aligning with the ongoing thread of strong female characters in Fractured Sanity, Jezebel provided Peets with an opportunity to dip into heightened emotional intensity and vulnerability within the scene to support the characterisation of Elias/Stanley.
